A Place to Land

We sure do hope you have enjoyed the past few weeks looking into one of our favorite projects! As we have highlighted before this project was unlike anything we have ever done. Starting from scratch, industrial modern style, custom metal pieces, and an elevator! We loved every minute of it.

The forever part of this forever home is adapting as we get older, and the elevator was a key part of this dream. But to not make it look like there was an elevator, we had this custom elevator door commissioned. It is the same style as the rest of the home and doesn't stick out, which is exactly what we were going for. Seamlessly incorporating this helpful addition was a success!

Who hasn't dreamed of a secret bookcase in their home? Tucked away perfectly, and great as a party trick! But other than that, these built-ins are just begging to be filled with your favorite bestsellers. The natural light will allow you to read until the sun goes down, and after that the perfect lamp can keep you going.

The high ceilings in this space really open up the whole home. What about air flow? Have no fear, air movement will not be a problem for this high ceilinged space. This fan will keep that cool, or warm air flowing!

Combining all of the unique textures and materials in this room is definitely something to behold! Live edge walnut shelves above the TV and as a mantle, steel C channel beams, exposed wood beams on the ceiling, and an austin stone fireplace, give this room enough character to be featured in the next sitcom.

Did you want to know what was behind those sliding doors that you can see from the living room? Here it is!

Can't wait to show you what we are working on next!
